These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your purchase and use of lessons offered under the Noah’s Ark Chinese brand. The seller and provider of all services is MROSH Consulting LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA (“we”, “us”). By booking or purchasing a lesson, you agree to these Terms.
Age requirement. You must be at least 18 years old to book or buy a lesson. Lessons for children are booked and paid for by a parent or legal guardian.
1. Services
We provide live, one-on-one online Mandarin Chinese lessons for children, as described on our Pricing page. All lessons are delivered online by video call (Zoom or Google Meet). Nothing is shipped.
2. Trial lesson
- Each new learner may book one 30-minute trial lesson for $9.
- The $9 trial fee is credited toward any lesson package you buy. There is no obligation to buy anything after the trial.
- We may decline repeat trial requests.
3. Prices and payment
- Prices are in US dollars (USD) and are shown on our Pricing page: kids 25–30 min lessons $16 each, 10 lessons $150, 20 lessons $280; kids ages 7–12, 50 min lessons $27 each, 10 lessons $250, 20 lessons $480.
- Payment is by credit or debit card through our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your card details.
- Single lessons and packages are paid in full at purchase. They are not subscriptions and do not renew.
- You receive a payment confirmation by email. An order is accepted once payment is completed.
4. Scheduling, rescheduling and package validity
- Within 1 business day after payment or a trial request, we email you to schedule.
- You may reschedule or cancel a lesson free of charge with at least 24 hours’ notice. With less notice, or if the learner does not join within 15 minutes of the start time, the lesson counts as delivered.
- Lessons in a package are valid for 6 months from purchase.
- If we need to cancel or reschedule, we will tell you as early as possible and offer a new time or a refund for that lesson.
- You are responsible for a working device and internet connection.
5. Refunds
Refunds and cancellations are described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In short: unused prepaid lessons are fully refundable within 14 days of purchase, and the $9 trial fee is credited toward any package.
6. Lessons for children
- Lessons are booked and paid for by a parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms on the child’s behalf.
- For children under 7, we recommend that an adult is at home during the lesson.
- We collect information only from the parent or guardian. See our Privacy Policy.
7. Conduct and recording
Lessons take place on third-party video platforms (Zoom or Google Meet), which have their own terms and privacy policies. The parent or guardian sets up and controls the video call on their own device or account. Learners and teachers agree to behave respectfully. We may end a lesson and stop providing services in cases of abusive behavior; unused prepaid lessons will then be refunded. Lessons may not be recorded without the consent of all participants.
8. Results
We help children build their Mandarin and can prepare them for tests such as the YCT, but we cannot guarantee a particular score or result.
9. Lesson materials
Materials we provide are for your family’s personal, non-commercial use and may not be redistributed without our permission.
10. Limitation of liability
We provide our services with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for problems caused by your internet connection, device or third-party video platforms, and our total liability for any claim related to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for our gross negligence or willful misconduct. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of mandatory consumer laws of the state where you live. If a dispute arises, please email us first — most issues can be solved quickly and informally. If we cannot resolve it within 30 days, either of us may bring a claim in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, or you may bring it in a small claims court where you live, if it qualifies.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms and will post the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date. The version in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
13. Accessibility
If you have trouble using any part of our website or need materials in a different format, email hello@noahsarkchinese.com and we will do our best to help.
